Official signed contract for supporting GE HealthCare

05-11-25, 08:34

A great moment to mark the start of a new fully integrated hot cell project, officially signed by Alex Duiker (Managing Director Von Gahlen Nederland B.V.) and Judith Wieland (Site Leader, GE HealthCare in Eindhoven, The Netherlands).

Together, they signed for the next step in innovation. With this agreement, Von Gahlen will support GE Healthcare in transforming the existing GMP site in Eindhoven into an enhanced Centre of Excellence for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) through a customized project agreement.

The agreement includes the development of two fully integrated PET hot cell production lines installed in a cleanroom. Both lines will be equipped with a closed vial dispensing system (CVDD) and visual inspection units, and are connected to the separately located Activity Distribution System (ADS). The design also includes a comprehensive shielding solution around the cyclotron.
GE HealthCare, headquartered in Chicago, US, is a global leader in medical technology, pharmaceutical diagnostics, and digital solutions, with a significant presence in molecular imaging and radiopharmaceutical production.

The existing facility already houses Von Gahlen's previously installed hot cells. We are delighted to be undertaking this new contract, which continues a strong and trusted partnership, and to once again contribute to innovative and future-oriented solutions.

We ensure the safety and well-being of nuclear medicine professionals worldwide by providing safe and reliable products that are used and maintained for decades. We are proud to support the advancement of PET imaging products for clinical and research applications in the Netherlands, together with our valued customer.
