The Von Gahlen Closed Vial Dose Divider (CVDD) is a remotely operated solution for dosing with the pierced septum method.

Designed for aseptically dispensing sterile radiopharmaceutical solutions
During dosing, the ventilated spike pierces the septum of the sterile vial to fill it with the radiopharmaceutical while preventing overpressurization. The dispensing process includes batch production and filling of the pre-sterilized vial.

Seamless integration within the hot cell
The Closed Vial Dose Divider (CVDD-CAN) is a semi-automatic vial dispensing system for safe and accurate dispensing inside a shielded hot cell. The system fits best in Von Gahlen hot cells for optimal workflow and maximum operator safety.  

• Our hot cells have an integrated laminar down-flow providing a GMP Class A environment for aseptic filling.
• Easy manipulation of vials using one or two ergonomically placed ball tong manipulators, while maintaining visibility and controlled handling throughout the process.
• Glove ports in acrylic front door required for aseptic, cold preparation, like installing the disposable set.
• Gently release the vial into a lead container.
• Complete integration with Product Retrieval Drawer system.

The CVDD-CAN is remotely operated. The package includes the dose divider, a calibrated ion chamber with an automatic lift system, an industrial PC with a large screen and two label printers.

Batch production and dosing of pre-sterilized vials

The two dose dividers (CVDD and OVDD) are specifically designed for the fast dosing of radiopharmaceuticals into multi- or unit-dose vials. Their ergonomic design requires fewer actions, allowing you to work efficiently. Both the hardware and software are designed to support GMP-compliant processing. Multiple runs can be performed without waiting for the activity to decay.
